• High tech CIOs handled the COVID-19 crisis effectively: Fifty-four percent are implementing or are achieving their plans for a new normal.
• Digital transformation is essential for economic recovery in 2021. Eighty-nine percent of high tech CIOs expect use of digital channels to reach customers/citizens will increase in 2021.
• Growth is at the center of that new normal. Eighty-seven percent of high tech CIOs expect revenue to increase in 2021. They anticipate revenue to grow by an unweighted average of 7.9%, largely from acquiring new customers selling new digital products.
• High tech CIOs need to climb the digital productivity curve as they expect an unweighted average IT budget increase of 1.8%.
