  • According to phone manufacturer Ericsson, mobile data traffic is expected to grow nearly five times current levels, to 237 exabytes per month, by 2026.¹ Unfortunately, revenue is only forecasted to grow between 3% and 5% (CAGR) over the same period, creating a monetization challenge. As data grows, costs will continue to grow as well, especially as telcos compete to build out 5G networks that are bigger and faster than those of their competitors.
