A digital transformation takes time, but in the
end, the gains in productivity make the business
case. While there are many tools out there to
help companies modernize, containers continue
to gain momentum as the go-to solution for
developers to more efficiently package and
deploy applications. According to the Cloud
Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Survey
2020, the use of containers in production has
increased by 300 percent since 2016. This is
evident from the adoption of two different
container technologies broadly used today—
Docker and Kubernetes. Of the cloud-hosted
Kubernetes workloads, 82 percent run on AWS.
